I’m a fun loving gal who loves gluten, bourbon, fine dining, clowinin, and writing. I wanted to find a way to focus my energies into completing this culinary journey and figured blogging about it is how they do it in the movies, so surely it’ll work for me! I’m not on a diet, although I wouldn’t be mad if I lost a pound or two 😋. I’m embarking on this journey because I want to fluently discuss all ‘genres’ of cooking and baking. I feel as if I dare not label myself a ‘foodie’, if I haven’t mastered baking without flour.
There will be a lot of different recipes I’ll experiment with, some gluten free and some vegan. The funniest thing is that my spouse and children are none the wiser 😂😂😂. You’ll understand why this is hilarious as time marches on. This project will commence June 1st and hopefully last a full 30 days, maybe more but prayfully not a day less.
I don’t really have many expectations, save for diversifying my culinary talents. I cannot say that I am doubtful that we won’t experience positive health benefits. However, limiting my carbs has never really had a dramatic impact on my weight. I am a three year post-op gastric sleeve patient. I lost 118 lbs two years after surgery and my weight gain fluctuates between 8lbs and 12lbs. I must admit, that gain is due to lack of exercise and over indulging g in the spirits 🍷🍹🍸🍺…well maybe not the last one…I’m still off carbonated beverages, and YES IT SUCKS!
So if you’re so inclined join me on my journey! I’m going to laugh at myself and enjoy my company regardless, but I sure wouldn’t mind having some company 👭👫👪👬
