Testify Tuesday: The Trap

OK, so if you’re like me and you’ve had Radric a.k.a. Gucci Mane a.k.a. Gucci Laflare a.k.a. #GUWOP in steady rotation, let’s clarify something right now, I’m not talking about that type a trap! 😂
We all have fallen into it this trap a time or two in our lives. We are actively engaged in EVERYTHING, we are trying to reach every goal we ever set simultaneously, we are on the phone and texting, we are trying to taste all the colors of the rainbow but still not satiated …you get my drift. It’s the trap of being BUSY! I believe I’ve said this before but it warrants reiteration. Being busy means nothing if you are not being productive. Let’s face it, regardless of how much the corporate world has peddled multi-tasking to us as an efficient way to do things, I challenge you to read some scholarly articles regarding the topic. Da Vinci was a genius, he was obviously productive but I wonder was he ever too busy to be inspired?

Take some time out and sit in silence, enjoy nature, enjoy your own company, pace yourself and see if you find that you become more productive and find yourself saying you are busy less and less. I am never too busy to take care of me, sometimes I neglect it but it’s not due to the busy excuse. Think about it this way, if what you are doing to be “successful” puts you out of touch with you, well how will you know when you’ve made gains? When do you make time to appreciate yourself, for the wins and losses?

Don’t be too busy that you speed through life and you forget it’s the only one you have. If you want to minimize regrets, keep the promises you make to yourself. Be available for inspiration. Most of all stop being so afraid of the silence, the quicker you face it the quicker you will acquiesce.
Never too busy for you all

~She 💋

Note: Okay, I’m lying about the not being too busy for you all. I had to force myself to stop what I was doing to write today. So this is for me just as much as I meant it for you. By the way, next week another Trunk Club Review: Summer/ Fall edition. Ciao
